When I opened the tube there were 2 things I noticed at ones: The scent and the texture.
The scent is amazing! I could buy the whole Skinfood Fresh Apple line just to have my face smell like this all day. It smells like, yes, apples! It is a good, pleasant scent and not one like for example the sweet, artificial scent of the Baviphat Apple Mask. This peeling gel really smells like freshness!
The texture was somewhat unexpected. I dont know what I expected, it is called peeling gel after all, and that is what you get, a gel. I think I am just so used to peelings having cream-like texture and these tiny little grains that actually make it a peeling, that I wasnt expecting to get a clear, grain-less gel out of this.
Because this peeling gel doest have any kind of peeling grains in it, there isnt really any risk of irritating your skin with this product.
I really got to love this product, love how it smells and how it feels on my skin and how it leaves my skin soft and without any irritations.
This is indeed a mild peeling gel, suitable for sensitive skin.
I could not really testify that my skin is less oily though and I was never the right person to judge whether my pores got smaller (besides on my nose the pores were never that big to begin with) and since this line contains of a total of 6 different products and Skinfood recommends to use all of them in order, maybe you actually need to use them all to have the significant wow-effect. I dont plant to put as many as 6 products on my face each day though and I am quite content with the result of the Fresh Apple Mild Pore Peeling Gel as it is and how mild it actually is for a peeling.
I could imagine repurchasing this, as well as buying other products from this line.
